As someone whose life has been greatly impacted by her teachers, I will strive to have a positive influence on my future students and be an effective teacher.
My goal, as future teacher, will be to teach my students in interactive and engaging ways so that they learn through not only exterior motivation, but also through self-motivation. I desire to cause students to appreciate different subjects, and their uses in the world. I also want to help students to develop their unique gifts and talents as we learn and grow together. I will be forming relationships with my students on a personal basis over the years, so it is important that I really have a love for kids. I want to create a safe environment where kids flourish and feel free to ask questions and have discussions. My hope is that I will not only be able to impart knowledge to my students while helping them learn how to analyze and think, but that I will also be a good role model by exhibiting moral and ethical behavior. My relationship with Christ is monumental in my life, and it will be a huge factor in how I approach teaching and curriculum. While I may not be able to openly share my faith verbally, I want to communicate His love through my actions.
